Position Overview:

Nano Clicks LLC is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information security, systems engineering, and risk management, with a proven track record of implementing security measures for complex systems. This role involves working closely with project teams to ensure that security requirements are integrated throughout the system development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement security solutions to protect information systems and networks.

  • Conduct security risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with federal security standards and regulations, including NIST, FISMA, and DoD guidelines.

  • Develop and maintain security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports (RARs), and Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).

  • Perform security testing and evaluation (ST&E) to ensure the effectiveness of security controls.

  • Collaborate with system engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to integrate security requirements into system design and development.

  • Support the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and guidelines.

  • Provide security expertise and guidance to project teams and clients.

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years in a systems security engineering role.

  • Strong knowledge of federal security standards and regulations, including NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, and DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).

  • Experience with security assessment tools and techniques, such as vulnerability scanners, penetration testing tools, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.

  • Strong understanding of network security, encryption, access control, and identity management.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred Skills:

  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar.

  • Experience with cloud security and securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Familiarity with security automation and orchestration tools.

  • Prior experience working on government contracts and knowledge of federal acquisition regulations.
